OUTSTANDING FINANCE
Can I sell a motorbike with outstanding finance?
Outstanding finance does not mean you should hide the bike from a valuation. Tell us about the finance from the start so it can be considered properly before any purchase goes ahead.
Always disclose the finance
If money is still owed under a finance agreement, include that information in your valuation request. The finance position is an important part of assessing whether and how a purchase can proceed.
A settlement figure is useful
Your finance provider can usually explain the current settlement position on the agreement. Having an up-to-date figure helps show what remains outstanding and what steps may be needed if you decide to sell.
Do not assume the balance
The amount left to pay is not always the same as simply adding up future monthly payments. Use information from the finance provider rather than guessing the settlement amount.
What should I send with a valuation?
Start with the normal bike details and select the finance option accurately. If an offer progresses, we can ask for the relevant finance or settlement evidence needed for the purchase process.
Get a valuation without committing
Requesting a valuation is free and does not commit you to selling. The finance position can be discussed before you decide whether to accept an offer.
